Investment disclaimer
Effective 25 July 2026
Materiality is a research tool. It is not investment advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.
Nothing on this service is personalised investment advice. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner, and no part of using this service creates an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Every investment decision you make is your own.
What this service actually does
It reads public company filings and market data and presents them back to you, organised and explained. Scores are arithmetic over reported figures. Written analysis is generated by a language model from those same figures. Neither is a forecast, and neither knows anything about your finances, goals, tax position, or risk tolerance.
If you want to check that claim rather than take it, the methodology sets out where every figure comes from, how the statements are normalised, and the four things it deliberately does not adjust for.
AI-generated content can be wrong
Written analysis, portfolio reviews, research reports, and earnings previews are produced by a language model. The model is constrained to the data it is given and instructed not to invent figures, but it can still misread, misweigh, or misstate. Treat everything it writes as a starting point to verify, not as a conclusion to act on.
Where a number matters, the underlying filing is the authority. Links to the source filings are provided so you can check.
Scores are measurements, not predictions
Scorecard, portfolio health, and stress figures are deterministic calculations over reported data. A high score describes what the numbers looked like in the past. It says nothing about what a security will do next, and no score should be read as an expected return.
Stress scenarios are illustrative. They apply stated assumptions to measured historical sensitivity, and those assumptions are shown alongside the results. They are not forecasts of any actual market event.
Data is incomplete, delayed, and sometimes wrong
Company data comes from SEC EDGAR filings. Prices and market data come from third-party providers and may be delayed. Filings themselves contain errors, are restated, and vary in what each company chooses to report.
This service is built to say so rather than paper over it: figures a company did not report are shown as unavailable rather than estimated, and statements whose totals do not reconcile are labelled. That design reduces the chance of a confidently wrong number, but it does not eliminate it. Accuracy is not guaranteed.
